Jelena Dimitrijević
Jelena Dimitrijević (Kruševac, 1862 – Belgrade, 1945) was a writer and world traveller (the first woman from Serbia who went on a journey around the world), a philanthropist and the youngest member of the affiliate of Women’s Society in Niš. She travelled together with her husband, and after his death often alone, to America, Africa, the Middle East and the Far East. On these journeys she wrote travel books, which were mostly published during her lifetime.
