Ksenija Atanasijević
Ksenija Atanasijević (Belgrade, 1894 – Belgrade, 1981), first woman PhD and first woman Assistant Professor in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. During the defence of her thesis, in the field of philosophy, the mentor gave her a serious mathematical problem, which she resolved with ease. The stunned members of the commission maliciously commented: “... Is everything alright with the hormones of our candidate?!”
